Sara Allen, AP,

Sara Allen got her BS degree from Liberty University in 1998 and has been an educator for over 20 years. She graduated from Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine with a BA in Health Science and MOM in 2017. Sara maintains an active practice. Sara Allen in a clinical instructor in the ATOM Intern clinic and teaches Internal and External Medicine of TC.
Cameron Bishop, DAOM, Lac.,

Cameron Bishop has worked at ATOM since 1997. He spent four years training and working in Japan.
He has a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Anthropology, a Masters in Acupuncture from NIAOM, and his Doctorate from ACTCM. He specialized in Japanese Acupuncture. He has been in practice over 25 years.
Crystal Cacolici Dipl. O.M., A.P.

Crystal is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Florida and a Nationally Certified Diplomat of Oriental Medicine by NCCAOM. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Health Science, and a Master Degree in Oriental Medicine as a graduate of The Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine and is a Certified NSEV Practitioner.
Since 2015, she has maintained her private practice in Wilton Manors and has apprenticed under Dr. Kevin Clark with focus on Chinese Herbal medicine and NSEV. She treats a wide range of patients in her practice with emphasis on women’s health, digestive health, and chronic degenerative diseases. She currently teaches Injection Therapy and works as a clinical instructor at The Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine.
A native Floridian, born and raised in Wilton Manors, Crystal has always had a passion for nature and natural medicine. Raised in a large family where natural treatments and herbal remedies were the norm.
Kevin D. Clark, AP

Kevin D. Clark, A.P. graduated from the Community School of Traditional Chinese Healthcare in 1991. Prior to enrolling in school he apprenticed under Daniel Achison-Nevel and Andrew Ellis here in the United States for two years with emphasis on Chinese herbal medicine, topical herbal medicine and food therapy. He founded the Community School of Traditional Chinese Healthcare, the Community Clinic and Tong Ren Herbs, Inc.. In addition, the school operated the South Shore Acupuncture Clinic funded by Ryan White at South Shore Hospital as a part of the student clinic. He has taught most aspects of the Chinese medical curriculum and currently maintains his private practice in Ft. Lauderdale and Hollywood Florida. He teaches case management courses and works as an intern clinic instructor at ATOM at the moment.
Eston Dunn, MS, LMT

He received his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and Wellness from Florida Atlantic University in 1990 and Master of Science in Health Sciences from Stafford University in 2003. He was a Health Educator at the Broward Country Department of Health from 1999 to 2001. He has been teaching Anatomy and Physiology and Clinical Pathology at Florida College of Natural Health since 2001. Currently, he is teaching Anatomy and Physiology at ATOM.
Fu, Di, MD (China), AP

Di Fu is a Florida-licensed acupuncturist who obtained his medical degree in China and received his Ph.D. in Heilongjiang University of TCM, China in 2008. He has taught in Florida for more than 15 years, and is the Vice-President at the Institute, teaching specialized areas of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He is also an adjunct professor teaching acupuncture at the University of Miami. He maintains his busy practice in his own clinic in Coral Springs, Florida.
Isaac Goren, DMQ (China) M.Ac.
Dr. Goren is a Doctor of Medical Qigong a Master of Acupuncture and a Master Sufi healer. He has been practicing and teaching Acupuncture and Medical Qigong for over 25 years. He is an expert in chronic disease as well as depression, anxiety, and other diseases. Dr. Goren has been teaching Medical Qigong and acupuncture at the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture (AFEA) in Gainesville Florida, Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine (ATOM), Sao Paulo, Brazil, and different part of the country. He is the founder of American Academy for Medical Qigong (AAMQ). He is a faculty member since 1997, and a former clinic director at AFEA where he served on the board of directors as the vice chair. Dr. Goren is a faculty member at ATOM since 2016. He has his private practice for 25 years, in South Florida.
Ilyas Hamid
While working as the Head Personal Trainer and Nutritionist at Florida International University, Dr Ilyas Hamid received his first bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition. Upon completion of his BS, he went on to get certificates in Functional Medicine through Apex Energetics in, Fundamentals of Functional Blood Chemistry, Mastering Functional Blood Chemistry, Functional Thyroid, Functional Neurology, and Functional Endocrinology.
Dr. Hamid followed his studies at the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine attaining another Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, A Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and a Doctorate in Internal Medicine of Oriental Medicine
Dr. Hamid has interned at the Gulou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, The Shaolin Temple in Henan China, and the Olympic Training Facility working with Olympic Athletes in Colorado Springs. Dr. Hamid’s mentors in TCM and Functional Medicine are Dr. Kevin Clark and Dr. Eric Dorninger, respectively. He currently maintains his private practice in Hollywood and serves as an adjunct professor at ATOM.
Dong Hua, MD (China), AP, DAOM, MBA,

Dr. Hua has over thirty years of working experience in both teaching and practicing Chinese Medicine. He graduated and was awarded a Bachelor Degree of Medicine from Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine University. Later, he became a Medical Doctor in Shanghai Medical Center. When he worked in China, Dr. Hua gained rich knowledge not only from the teaching and clinical experiences but also from the masters who he followed in Shanghai TCM Hospital. Dr. Dong Hua gained Doctoral degree of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine.
After leaving China, he spent nearly ten years in Israel in teaching at Ben Gurion University, Medi-Cin College, Bruteva College respectively, treating people and doing research as the director of Chinese Medicine Unit at the famed Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
Dr. Hua also graduated and earned Master degree in business administration from Northwestern University, Chicago.
In 2014 Dr. Dong Hua published a new translation and commentary on ” Nan Jing The Classic of Difficult Issue
Fred Della Jacono AP LMT
Fred began his journey in Chinese medicine in 2015 when he was a student here at ATOM. Tuina became a focal point for Fred as this therapeutic approach is guided by Traditional Chinese Medicine and used to treat diseases through massage manipulations or by massage tools applied to acupuncture points or points on the body’s surface. Fred utilizes this approach when treating his patients and focus on musculoskeletal disorders. His passion for the skillset allowed him to be recognized as an instructor of Tuina here at ATOM. Fred is a licensed Acupuncturist, Massage therapist, and currently working on his obtaining his license in chiropractic medicine.
Yu Wen Lu, DAOM, AP
She is a Florida licensed Acupuncture Physician. She graduated from Florida College of Integrative Medicine with a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine in 2003 and gained her DAOM from ATOM in .2017. She was President and acupuncturist at Acupuncture and Herbal Healthcare Center from 2003 to 2014. With 15 years of experience in Chinese Medicine, she is practicing in West Palm Beach. Dr. Lu is the Clinical Director at the ATOM, as well as teaching Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese Language, TCM Dermatology, TCM Pediatrics and TCM Food Therapy classes.
Selvon Nanan, MD
Adjunct Professor, Western Medicine, Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine Volunteer Staff Physician, Light of The World Clinic, a free Clinic serving the uninsured in Broward County, Florida. Received Medical degree (M.D) Rutgers Medical School, New Jersey. Completed three year Post Graduate Residency Training, School of Medicine SUNY , Stony Brook. Board Certified in Family Medicine. Had Teaching appointment, Assistant Professor, Department of Family Medicine, School of Medicine, SUNY, Stony Brook and also served as Associate Director, and Director Family Medicine Residency Program at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital. Was on Medical Staff (retired) at Florida Medical Center, Westside Regional Medical Center and Plantation General Hospital (also served as Department Chief and on the Medical Executive Committee). Served on Medical Advisory Board of several Managed Healthcare organizations including Av Med, Blue Cross/ Blue Shield Health Options, Cigna Healthcare, CAC Ramsey, United Healthcare and others. Recipient of several awards, including Physician of Distinction Award by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida 2002 – 2003
Erica Nieves, AP
Erica Nieves began her training in holistic medicine at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in New York City. As a student of massage therapy, she was introduced to Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Theory via the system of the channels and acupuncture points as part of her study of eastern massage modalities such as Shiatsu, Tuina and Thai massage. From this early stage, she knew that the Eastern paradigm particularly resonated for her and that she would continue her studies to become an Acupuncture Physician.
Erica studied Acupuncture and Herbology at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California and graduated from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2012.
She is a licensed Acupuncture Physician and Massage Therapist in the state of Florida, a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine from the NCCAOM and certified through the NCBTMB. She joined the teaching staff at ATOM in January, 2020 where she teaches Acupuncture Channels and Points, Tuina and works as a Clinical Supervisor
Karen Scotti, DC

Dr. Karen Scotti is a 30 year seasoned Chiropractor and is Chiropractic Board eligible for licensure in Acupuncture. She holds several Post-Graduate degrees including that of Alternative Medicine. In addition to Dr. Scotti’s vast clinical experience, she has taught and written in her field for over two decades. She brings her passion and commitment to students empowering their decision to be an Alternative Care Practitioners. Dr. Scotti is truly dedicated to Alternative Practices and strives to elevate her students to be the best in their discipline. She teaches biomedical courses at ATOM
Amy J. Sear, AP, Dipl. C.H., Dipl. O.M.

Amy Sear earned a Bachelor degree from Cornell University and completed her Oriental Medicine education from the Acupuncture and Massage College in Miami, FL. She was a Teacher and Clinical Instructor at that College and used to be President of Florida State Oriental Medical Association (FSOMA). She is in private practice at the Breast Cancer Center of Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL, and has co-authored an IRB approved Phase I research study utilizing Acupuncture for Hot Flashes in Breast Cancer patients. Amy, a well known teacher of numerous seminars to professionals of Chinese Medicine, teaches Patents and courses in Acupuncture Practice Management at ATOM.
Allyson Wilson, DAOM, AP

Allyson earned a Master’s in Oriental Medicine and Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) degree from Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine (ATOM). She has been recently appointed as Assistant to the DAOM Director. She treats veterans in ATOM Intern Clinic and teaches acupuncture review course at ATOM. She also has a private practice in Hollywood, FL. Allyson has significant experience treating pain, mental and emotional issues, substance abuse and in practicing auricular acupuncture. As part of her practice she has worked with sports injuries, treated performance anxiety in athletes and students as well as various emotional/mental issues in conjunction with a licensed therapist.
